Status LEDs
The three LEDs next to the processor show the unit state without the app. Watch for about 30 seconds. Red always means a problem: count the red blinks.
| You see | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Red, green, blue (0.3 s each) at power-on | Self-test: the unit started (red may stay on a few seconds first) | Nothing |
| Short green flash every 5 s (every 2 s on USB) | Running normally | Nothing |
| Blue flash every 2 s | Receiver searching for a fix | If it lasts a whole session, check the sky view |
| Blue double flash every 5 s | Session running with a position fix | Nothing |
| Blue then green, once a second | Iridium transmission | Keep the antenna clear |
| 1 red blink every 5 s | Not configured | Apply a configuration |
| 2 red blinks every 5 s | Storage fault | Save diagnostics, contact support |
| 3 red blinks every 30 s | Battery critical: radios off | Charge or replace the battery |
| 1 very short red flash every 30 s | Battery low: Iridium held off | Check panel and battery soon |
| Fast red flashing, first minute after power-on | The previous run hung and was reset by a watchdog (switching off and on does not cause it) | Save diagnostics if it repeats |
| Dark after the self-test | LEDs set to Minimal (healthy) or Off | Nothing |
| Dark, no self-test | No power or no firmware | Check battery and connections |
LED modes are set in Power & battery: Normal (about 0.25 mAh per day), Minimal (faults and battery warnings only), Off (power-on self-test only).
