Troubleshooting

SymptomWhat to do
Unit not listedTry another cable (it must carry data) or another port; check that the unit is not in BOOTSEL.
Connection closed: USB link lostReplug the unit; the app reconnects by itself when it is the only unit.
State ambiguousTwo units (or a unit and a BOOTSEL device) are attached: disconnect one.
Unverified RP2350 deviceNot a reflexa micro unit running compatible firmware; it is never used. Run the firmware update if it is your unit.
Stuck in BOOTSELPower-cycle without holding BOOT, or run the firmware update.
Update failed after the copyHold BOOT while power-cycling, then update again.
Save result mismatch or unknownPress Read from unit, compare, then apply again deliberately. The app never resends by itself.
Unit unconfigured after a reset (1 red blink)Load the saved configuration, review and save.
Sector without satellitesObstructed or wrong direction: check the sky view in Live and the terrain profile on Station.
Arcs always failSession too short, obstruction, strong waves, or the water outside the RH search range: keep the range on Auto, lengthen the sessions, check the site.
Measured height far from your estimateAn estimate by eye can be off: if the arcs agree with each other, trust the measured height and use it. If they scatter, look for a second reflector (wall, shore) in the footprint and narrow the sectors or lower the top of the elevation window.
Records interrupted write(s) skippedHarmless: those records were not acknowledged and download again.
Overwritten recordsThe running buffer dropped the oldest results: download more often or enable Iridium.
Session start refused: busyA transmission, a modem job, a pending reboot or the battery guard blocks it; try again in a few minutes.
Compatibility warning in the status barThe firmware lacks features this app uses: update it.
No Iridium message receivedRun Check modem (no traffic) in Maintenance; check the sky view of the modem antenna, the battery (1 short red flash = Iridium held off) and the Cloudloop destination (Iridium setup).

Without a computer, the status LEDs tell you what the unit is doing.
